SWAET 2016 First Announcement

First Announcement of the 7th Scandinavian Workshop on Applied Eye Tracking (SWAET 2016) in Turku, Finland

The Scandinavian Workshop on Applied Eye Tracking (SWAET) is an interdisciplinary meeting place for graduate students, researchers, industry, and other people using eye tracking as a measurement tool.

Topics being covered in this conference include (but are not limited to) language processing, visual scene perception, medical imaging, decision making, problem solving, traffic safety, music reading, gaming, expertise, education, social cognition, real-world interaction, attention and memory.

SWAET was first organized by Kenneth Holmqvist and colleagues in Lund in 2007. In subsequent years it has been repeatedly kept in Lund, but also in Stavanger and Stockholm (for more details on the last workshop in Stockholm, see http://www.eyelab.se/swaet/).

SWAET 2016 will take place from 19-21 June in Turku, Finland. The program includes 2 keynote lectures, several sessions with 3-4 talks of 20 minutes each, and 1 or 2 poster sessions. The keynote speakers will be Professor Simon Liversedge from the University of Southampton, UK (reading comprehension), and Dr. Halszka Jarodzka from the University of Heerlen, Netherlands (Learning and Instruction). The welcome reception will be held on Sunday evening the 19th of June and the conference dinner on Monday the 20th of June.
