Digital reading is not equivalent to reading on paper. For over twenty years, the data show specific deficits associated to digital reading especially in visual perception, attention and understanding/memory. This problem is more relevant than ever with the increasing development of computer networks, virtual libraries, multimedia software, e-readers and tablets that involve new behaviors and skills of the reader. The book summarizes the findings and theoretical developments made ​​in cognitive psychology and cognitive ergonomics in the field of digital reading.
